Abhinav Sai Kolla's "BAND" - First-Ever Film Made with Kondapalli Toys

Abhinav Sai Kolla, a Product Design student at Woxsen University, has achieved a remarkable feat. His film, "BAND," has been awarded the Best Animated Short Film at the prestigious Indo-French International Film Festival (IFIFF). This is a significant achievement not only for Abhinav but also for Indian cinema, as "BAND" is the first-ever film created using traditional Kondapalli toys.

"BAND" was initially conceived as a classroom project and later transformed into Abhinav's graduation project. The film explores the world of Kondapalli toys, breathing new life into these static art forms. Abhinav's innovative approach incorporates movement into the traditionally static toys, showcasing their dynamism while preserving their inherent artistry. This unique blend of tradition and innovation has garnered significant appreciation within the film industry.

Abhinav's achievement is a testament to the potential of young talents in India. His film not only showcases his creative vision but also highlights the rich cultural heritage of the country. As Dr. Aditya Saxena, Dean of the School of Arts & Design at Woxsen University, aptly stated, "Abhinav's groundbreaking film marks the beginning of a series of achievements yet to unfold." This recognition serves as an inspiration for aspiring artists and filmmakers across India.
