Woxsen University recently had the privilege of hosting Dr. Thomas Mical, a distinguished expert in MArch from Harvard University and Ph.D. in Architectural Theory from Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Mical's visit marked an exciting opportunity for potential collaboration between our institution and his esteemed expertise, setting the stage for an enriching exchange of ideas and insights in the realm of architectural theory and practice.
The primary sessions with Dr. Mical took place on January 18th and 19th, 2024, igniting a vibrant atmosphere of learning and engagement across the campus. On January 18th, students from the School of Art and Design (SOAD) eagerly gathered at LT 1 for a captivating session led by Dr. Mical from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. During this interactive session, students had the unique opportunity to delve into the latest developments and trends in architectural theory, gaining valuable perspectives from Dr. Mical's extensive experience and expertise.
In addition to the insightful session, students also had the chance to showcase their projects to Dr. Mical during a student project display held at their respective classrooms on the same day, from 11:20 AM to 12:30 PM. This provided students with a platform to present their innovative ideas and creative endeavors, receiving feedback and inspiration from Dr. Mical himself.
Throughout Dr. Mical's visit, the campus buzzed with excitement as students and faculty alike seized the opportunity to engage with a leading figure in the field of architecture.
